As the UK focuses on building a dynamic, innovation-led economy, the principles of openness, interoperability, and consumer empowerment must be at the heart of its policy agenda. The implementation of the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers (DMCC) Act reflects the Government’s commitment to responsible technological development. By embedding openness into these efforts, the UK can both remain a competitive player in the global digital economy and establish itself as an attractive hub for investment.This paper outlines CODE’s calls to action to deliver on this vision and secure the UK’s position as a leader in the digital age.
